Student Cents was an ideal method to target our marketing for our unique niche product, Norwich Unions "Pay As You Drive" TM insurance for young drivers. timing was just right for our launch, distribution geographically and over time fitted well for our call centre and business requirements. We had a strategy in 2005 to reach out to a younger market to attract new consumers into the FISHERMAN'S FRIEND brand. Student Cents gave us the opportunity to reach 200,000 first year students at campuses all over the U.K. with a sample and a message with a very cost effective model.
The logistics were well organised and everything ran smoothly. We are following up with quarterly competitions with Student Cents to continue promoting at this level and will give strong consideration to further activity in the 2006/7 medicated confectionery season.
